The light sabers don't light up or extend automatically, but the kids love them. If you can get them for 6 dollars each, then worth the buy. Recommend for ages 3 to 8.

I can't complain too much as we got these very reasonably priced. The sabres hold up pretty well. The button that allows the sabre to lengthen is hard for little hands to work. I end up having to push the button and flick the sword so it lengthens. It is a very basic sabre, no lights, no frills. Great for outdoors! It is definately for little boys who are too rough for the light sabres with all the bells and whistles.
