My 4 1/2 year old grandson would not leave it alone. He loves shooting the rockets and the automatic opening of the tank.
We still have issues with the legs even after making sure they were in the correct slots. Grandpa wound up taping them.

To put this review into proper perspective, it is important to realize that I am like many other parents out there, that get pretty thrilled to watch our kids at Christmas time. I found the AT-TE tank vehicle at costco and told my fiance that we had to get it for my son.
Now for the review. The vehicle itself is quite durable. But let me jump to what I feel is one of its neatest features. You push a button on the back and the back opens up and also has sound features. The inside is big enough for several characters. But trust me and have batteries on hand because the sounds are just too cool. Which leads me to the next feature, the huge cannon on top of the tank. You postion one of the many stormtrooper characters available in the shooters seat and start clearing out the bad guys. The cannon shoots a torpedo looking projectile. On the sides you have two more smaller cannons that shoot as well, sorry no sound here. One of the things that I noticed about this and also the huge mellinium falcon ship that I purchased was how well the toys are scaled to the characters. The fit is very good.
As for durability, I was very concerned the first time I found my son playing with this and saw that he had a couple of the legs sitting on the couch next to the tank. Obviously I was ready to scream. But you will all be glad to know that the legs can be taken off and they will go right back on and quite securely.
Overall this is just a great toy. My son loves it, and I have actually found it to be quite entertaining as well. I highly recommend this to any of you parents with children who are as into star wars as my son is. Highly recommended. Thanks for reading

I just found this at Walmart on clearance for $50. I couldn't pass that up. All the electronic features and missles are great. My son loves this. I wish I had more troopers for him to play with. As far as the leg issue. My son put them on and when I came back I noticed they would fall off. Then I read the directions and each leg has the proper position inscribed on the inside. I checked this and they were all wrong. So I put them in the right position and each one snapped in place. No problems since. It has only been a day though. Anyway if you can get it, esp. on clearance, it is a must have.

I had reservations about ordering two of these for my boys (7 and 9) after reading the poor reviews here, but decided to try anyway. After some struggles getting the thing put together - reading the instructions on this one is key - it seems to be working fine. We initially had some of the legs in the wrong sockets, and they kept falling off. Once we got everything in the correct spots it is quite sturdy and so far has stood up well to an hour of play, and my guys are not easy on toys.

My Son bought this with his own money. He was very excited when we got home, but the joy quickly faded when the legs started falling off and the lights did not work. Also, only comes with one clone and it is very pricy to buy additional ones.
