 Big set few characters July 17, 2010

This set it huge, a lot of pieces, and it took me a while to build. My son has a hard time playing with it because it's so big. I'm not sure if I would pay full price for this one. The build is different from a lot of sets I've built, so it is pretty unique to me in that respect. If you like big ships, this is for you. There's not much else to say about this set, there's just two seats for for the pilots and then R2 hooks up to the trigger to fire the missile under the ship. Most of it is sturdy, there are a few parts that I can see falling apart often.

I bought this for my 7 year-old grandson who could hardly wait to put it together and he worked at it for 2 hours, loving every minute of "work". I have a great photo of him proudly holding it up for the camera and I plan to buy him the Lego "Death Star" for his next gift.

My 7 year old son absolutely loves this Star Wars ship. He was able to follow the directions and complete the ship within a very reasonable amount of time. It is really cool. He loves playing with it.

This Lego is one of the new sets for children who are adept at creating with legos. They are required to follow directions and perform steps in sequence to make the many-pieced air ship. As soon as my 8-year old grandson opened the Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter he left the rest of his gifts to immediately begin making the Lego set. He also permitted his younger brother to assist with the assembly, which was wonderful to see as the older one showed himself to be a patient teacher.
I was concerned about paying so much for Legos, but his response and delight at receiving the set assured me that I made the right decision. Again, a great, colorful, well-made Lego set with good instructions. He is so proud of creating this great looking model!

Purchased this for my son. Unlike a lot of Lego kits lately this one had lots of pieces. Great fun to build together and he loves it.
