Nephew Loved It March 11, 2010 Cindy Brock (Georgia, USA) What do you get for the kid who loves Star Wars? This is the gift. We searched high and low for something different and boy - was this a hit. Highly recommend.
Star Wars Review March 4, 2010 Star Wars Grammy (Florida) Product was unsatisfactory. The toy had a charger that had to be inserted into the helicopter, however, you could not secure the charging implement to the helicopter connection. It would fall out when you let go of it. I tried to hold it long enough for the toy to get a charge to be able to play with it but was unable to hold it together for more than a minute or two because of the size of the connection. It was so small that it was impossible to hold it.
Great and resilient controlled helicopter February 19, 2010 O. M. Villanueva (Boston, MA, USA) I bought this Star Wars helicopter (remote controlled) for my 9-year old son for Christmas among other toys. My son likes remote controlled helicopters. He had one that we bought 2 years ago but the helix was weak: every time the toy fell or hit the wall, the helix would be hit and it eventually broke. This is where this Star Wars helicopter is resilient: it has a plastic frame just above and below the helix (the white circular structure around the black helix that you can see in the Amazon figure for this toy) that protects it so when it falls to the ground or hits a wall, the helix would not suffer. This plus the fact that my son is a Star Wars fan (and the previous helicopter he had was not Star Wars) made this a special gift last Christmas.
Poor design quality February 5, 2010 W. Heart (Peoria, Illinois) I bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas because he wanted an RC helicopter and he loves Star Wars. I was thrilled that it cost $[...] less than ToysRUs. Now I know why. It barely flys 2 feet off the floor and is nearly impossible to control. It does not turn left and right like it should and the adjustable throttle only has 2 speeds: on and off. One of the guard rings surrounding the blades broke when it crashed yet again. At first I figured it was pilot error and I needed to teach my son how to fly it. I quickly discovered it was poor design quality. I'm not sure what my son has even done with it. If you're looking for something to sit on a shelf, or "zoom" through the air manually, this could be it. If you're looking for a bonafide RC flyer, spend the money and get something else.
Flying RC Gunship lots of fun, wish it held longer charge. January 28, 2010 austxbot The ship is made of durable foam, which makes it safe to maneuver indoors. The plastic blades are encased in a protective circular ring, so its fairly safe for kids to handle. It takes about 10 mins to charge and has an average fly time of around 4-5 mins which makes it a little nerve racking to play with. The controls are very responsive, moving the ship up and down, back and forth is pretty simple. My son and I were able to get the ship to hover about 15 feet in the air. Don't expect alot of accuracy with this toy, but it doesn't really matter because you have so much fun when you start playing with it. Star Wars fans will enjoy!
